A new secretary was recruited a few months ago as the previous one left the company. The new secretary reported duty in the morning on the first day. She came to work on the second day and I realized that she seemed catching a cold.
In the afternoon after lunch she came to my office and said, " Sis, I want to resign!" She said. I was a bit shocked. "What are the reasons of your resignation?" I responded. "Because I catch a serious flu and also I am suffering from a soar throat." "Oh, you don't have to resign. You take sick leave now and go to visit a doctor and go home to rest" I suggested. "But I feel uncomfortable if I take sick leave just on my second day of work with the company." She explained.
"Well, no one can predict when he/she will become sick. You are just unfortunate to catch the flu on the second working day. It's okay to take leave now and see a doctor. Should you still be sick tomorrow you just continue your sick leave tomorrow. It's absolutely no problem at all. Go now!"
The secretary is still working with the company today.
**The first two weeks-critical; the third and fourth weeks-capable; the second month-helpful; the third month-probation successful!**
